Our Purpose

Operator, Brad Nichols, believes that the organization’s purpose is foundational in making all business decisions big and small. “Our ability to create value in the lives of others solely rests on our discipline to put our purpose first each day.”, states Mr. Nichols when discussing Chick-fil-A Chambers Town Center’s organizational purpose.  The leadership team at Chick-fil-A Chambers Town Center shares their desire to have a positive impact on others while maintaining a successful business through the organization’s purpose stated below.

“TO INSPIRE PEOPLE TO TAKE GOOD CARE OF ONE ANOTHER THROUGH SERVING OTHERS WELL AND GIVING THE WORLD OUR BEST.”

College Scholarships

Over $14,000,000 in college scholarships awarded last year!

In 1973, Truett Cathy set a jar on the restaurant counter. The reason? To help Team Member Eddie White raise funds to pursue his dream of a college education. Thanks to contributions from guests and Truett himself, Eddie’s dream came true. After graduation, Eddie went on to have a career in education, eventually serving as Assistant Superintendent in the greater Atlanta area. From that mayonnaise jar, Chick-fil-A’s scholarship was born. Since then, we’ve awarded over $46 million to approximately 41,000 Chick-fil-A restaurant Team Members across the country.

True Inspiration Awards

S. Truett Cathy was known to ask a simple question: “Why not your very best?” This question guided him as a husband, a father and a businessman—it also guided his work in the community. With a passionate belief in the unlimited potential of every child, he dedicated his life to inspiring and challenging young people to be their very best, too.

In 2015, the Chick-fil-A Foundation established the True Inspiration Awards to honor Truett’s legacy. Each year, we celebrate organizations from across the country who embody his spirit of service and exist, like the Foundation, to help every child become all they were created to be.

Working in the areas of Innovative Education, Emerging Leader Development and Youth Entrepreneurship, True Inspiration Award recipients are working hard to make a lasting difference in their communities—and we’re proud to help them extend their impact through these annual awards across the nation.

Junior Achievement

A SHARED BELIEF IN THE BOUNDLESS POTENTIAL OF YOUNG PEOPLE

With a mission to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy, Junior Achievement works with organizations like the Chick-fil-A Foundation to expand youth education and economic development in their communities.

Chick-fil-A Operators often sponsor simulated storefronts at their local Junior Achievement facilities across the country. Through realistic exercises, like maintaining a budget and learning to operate a business we are teaching students the financial literacy skills they need to become a valuable part of today’s workforce. Local Operators are working with over 20 Junior Achievement facilities across the country and locally in the Houston location.

Living Water International

The locally lead Living Water partnership is between Chick-fil-A Houston Operators and Living Water International. Restaurants will conduct the campaign throughout the month of World Water Day to raise funds for clean water in Nicaragua. The proceeds are used to support Living Water’s work in Nicaragua, Honduras, and several other countries. In 2017, Chick-fil-A Houston was able to raise over $200,000 for Living Water International in their fight for water for everyone. Our impact and responsibility to help man-kind goes beyond the local restaurants and communities and into lives of people across the world.

Winshape Foundation

The WinShape Foundation provides meaningful experiences and creates connections that develop individuals, strengthen relationships, and expose life-altering hope and truth. From day camps for kids to programs that grow college students and shape culture for organizations, each of our programs is rooted in transformation. There’s power in this place and the individuals who participate in our ministries.

Our Purpose

Our Founder, Truett Cathy, shared his heart for community when he stated the quote below.

“WE DO NOT JUST DO BUSINESS; WE BECOME A VITAL PART OF THE COMMUNITIES IN WHICH WE EXIST.”
